20 is d
im takin a look at them, i might go back and forth and post answers lol.
not for sure tho
1.)
Total amount of games that will be played: 75+45 = 120
The team needs to win 60%. 60% of 120 = 120*0.6 = 72 games
Number of games won so far: 50
Number of games yet to win: 72 – 50 = 22
2.)
Area of the rectangle = length*width = 8*12 = 96
Area of the triangle = 0.5 * base*altitude = 96
Which means: base*altitude=192
altitude = 192/32 = 6
3.)
Number of students in school: 18*35 = 630
Number of classes needed for 630 students: 630/30 = 21
Number of classes existing: 18
Number of classes that must be formed: 21-18=3
4.) The answer is A.
5.)
Slope=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) = (3-4)/(0-5) = 1/5
6.) One kilometer=
b.) 1,000,000 millimeters
7.)
Check for (1, 5): 3*1-5=-2 =/= 2
(1, 5) is not on the line, so a), b) and d) are wrong.
Check for (2, 4): 3*2-4 = 6-4 = 2
Check for (3, 7): 3*3-7 = 9-7 = 2
So c) is the right answer.
8.)
3x-1=11
3x = 12
x = 4
x^2+x = 4^2 + 4 = 16 + 4 = 20
9.)
For all bells to ring, we need a number of hours to pass that divides by 2, 4, and 3. The lowest such number is 3*4=12.
9 am + 12 hours = 9 pm
10.)
Percent of income saved: 100 – 20 – 23 – 42 = 15%
If 15% is $360, the total income is $360*100/15 = $2 400
11.)
Area of walk: 6*24 = 144 ft^2
Area of brick: (1/3)*(2/3) = 2/9 ft^2
Number of bricks needed: 144/(2/9) = 648
12.)
2x+3>7
2x>4
x>2
0 is the only number on the list that is <2, so the answer is a).
13.)
The room has 2 wall with the area length*height and 2 walls with the area width*height. The total area of the walls:
2*24*9 + 2*18*9 = 432 + 324 = 756
14.)
Length of spoke = diameter/2
In first wheel: 28/2 = 14
In second wheel: 21/2 = 10.5
Difference: 14-10.5 = 3.5
15.)
Frank makes 21/4 machine parts per hour, so in 7 hours he will make (21/4)*7 = 21*7/4 parts.
16.)
e.) Not enough information is given
It says he divided the rest unevenly, but it doesn’t say who got what percent.
17.)
228/35 = 6 (18)
Since the 18 people that remain will also need a tour director, the number of tour directors needed is 7.
18.)
b.) (14900-(750+1250)) /60
19.)
One thousandth = 0.001
Eight thousandths = 0.008 (a))
20.)
d.) 4.9
21.)
d.) 2023
22.)
d.) 300.021

pretty confident with these answers…by the way…noticed some different answers, but…
8. is A if its x*2…or E if its x^2
22. is definitely D
These are actually very simple, even for me, and I’m terrible at Maths.
1) 75 + 45 = 120 games in total. 60/100 x 120 = 72 games must be won. Since 50 have already been won, the team must win a further 22 games. Now let’s hope that matches one of the options ……yes, the correct answer is c.
2) You must be in the US because although we use inches in every day life, it’s only metric in schools here in the UK. Anyway, first work out the area of the rectangle. 12 x 8 = 96 inches. Base of triangle is 32 inches and area is 96. A = b x h/2, so b x h/2 = 96, so h/2 =96/b, so h/2 = 96/32, so h/2 = 3, so the height must be 6 inches. Here’s hoping ….yes, it’s c
3) 18 x 35 = 630 students n total, 630/30 = 21, so you need 21 classes, so you need 3 more classes. Do we have a match? ….yes, it’s b
4) Last one, since I’m running out of time. The answer is a
19) The answer is a
20) The answer is d
Could do these at a glance, so squeezed two more in, but don’t have any more time. Must go. Hope it helps.
