I didn’t have time to ask questions, Damians face had turned into an empty slate, and I didn’t dare inquire as to what was going on. He slowed as we approached the house. What had gone wrong there didn’t seem to be…. I paused as I saw the closed dark house a large white van sat out in front of it.
“Damian’s what’s-?”
He shoot me a ghastly look, I swallowed, something was defiantly wrong.
“Stay here, and wait for me. I’m just gonna go check this out.”

He didn’t pause as he got out of the jeep and jogged up to the door. I glanced around really looking at the house. The windows were closed with the drapes drawn, the large white van sitting one drive down, giving off a foreboding sense in the rustic warm aura of the town homes.
Damian was approaching the door, my heart beat quickened in a sudden sense of panic. He reached for the handle pulling open the door and-
A white flash of light exploded in my vision as an ear shattering detonation clogged my senses. The car shuddered as the world turned into a blur of sound and sight. The air rumbled and gradually faded out to my ears ringing, as I fumbled around the world spinning and fading in and out of blackness.
I glanced around myself, seeing spots, I had somehow ended up on my side, and the world seemed switched upside down. I glanced around realizing suddenly that the car had flipped over. I crawled out of the automobile; hitting my legs awkwardly on the stick shift and steering wheel. I climbed out into a fog of smoke and ashy air my lungs immediately objecting to the substance. I picked myself up off the ground coughing uncontrollably. I glanced around, collecting my senses I stumbled toward the direction of the house,
“Damian! Damian!” I coughed confused and slightly frightened at the sudden change of circumstance, what had happened?
