I have a confession to make. There are two things that I’ve been obsessed with for as long as I can remember; drawing and cars. Like a lot of those of us who are into drawing we may have dreams of one day designing the next great sports car or revolutionary vehicle.

Truth is though in order to learn the skills and techniques needed to learn how to draw a car and get the idea from your head to paper traditionally takes a long time to accomplish. People will literally spend thousands of dollars and years of their life learning what I have learned in less than an hour.
I know you’re probably thinking that there is no way that I would be telling the truth. Of course I’m not going to say that I got it perfect right away, it always takes time and practice. But what I did learn about how to draw a car is the techniques and tricks used by its author Tim Rugendyke who spent the last 15 years working as an automotive designer for many major car companies worldwide.
Think about it. He spent all day everyday sketching tens of thousands of cars and vehicles of all different kinds. He was bound to pick up a short cut or two along the way. In fact, he is so sure that you’ll be able to jump right in and start drawing cars, even if you don’t have any formal drawing experience. For a hobbyist like me this was all I needed to hear. Within minutes I had several “ah-ha” moments that led me to draw some of the best cars of my life.
All this time I had been struggling with how to draw cars and the answer was right under my nose. The first thing I noticed when I opened the book was how comprehensive it was. There were tons of detailed images and instructions explaining exactly how we get to each step, which made it incredibly easy to follow. The genius of this method is it gives you the absolute shortest and most accurate way to portray a car on a piece of paper. With a little practice you’ll be able to literally draw more accurately and faster than you’ve ever imagined.
At least faster than I thought possible, and with a little practice I soon impressed my friends and family with my new founds skills. Not only did it give me detailed ways to avoid all the common problems people experience when trying to draw a car, but it also taught me all the key principles the experts in the industry use.
I can’t begin to recommend more to anyone who wants to learn how to draw cars to take a look at Tim’s Rugendyke’s amazing book.
Whether you’re the self confessed car nut who wants to finally overcome those hurdles that are stopping you from drawing the perfect car, or you know someone who would get a lot of use out of this book, don’t hesitate to pick up a copy. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you will be producing amazing looking cars with little effort at all.
All the best,
Aaron
